Since 2024, Markham Community Connect has been bringing children, youth, seniors, families and volunteers together through sports, learning, cultural celebrations and community activities. Our journey is built on simple moments that create friendships, confidence and a stronger sense of belonging.
MCC began in Markham with a community-focused purpose: bringing families together and creating opportunities for children, youth and community members to participate and belong.
2025
Building Community Connections
Ramadan Connect 2025 brought the community together at Markham Civic Centre, becoming part of MCC’s growing story of shared experiences and connection.
2026
Growing Across Generations
Ramadan Connect 2026 added bazaar and awards moments to that story. The Seniors in Bloom project runs from April 2026 to March 2027. Alongside these milestones, MCC’s ongoing focus includes soccer, creative learning, community gatherings and seniors engagement through Aaniin Community Hub.

Community Impact in Action
Children & Youth — Confidence Through Participation
Soccer and teamwork, STEM projects and crafts give children opportunities to learn alongside one another. MCC’s program offering also includes kids entrepreneurship and opportunities for youth involvement and leadership — creating space to practise skills, form friendships and participate.
Gardening and planting offer a shared activity and a reason to come together. Through Seniors in Bloom and Aaniin Community Hub, MCC focuses on opportunities for social participation, wellness learning and community workshops.
Ramadan Connect 2025 at Markham Civic Centre and the 2026 bazaar and awards are part of MCC’s community story. Alongside family picnics and cultural gatherings, these shared moments create opportunities for neighbours to meet, participate and celebrate together.
People contribute their time and skills to sports, youth learning, seniors programs and community gatherings. Event organization and coordination bring shared responsibility to life, with opportunities for volunteers and young people to get involved.
Ramadan Connect 2025 at Markham Civic Centre and the 2026 bazaar and awards connect MCC’s story across two years.
Learning side by side
